About
Companies keep the documents. The knowledge walks out of the door.
Every Apollo document is still on file. Yet when NASA engineers went back to the F-1, the engine that launched the Saturn V, they took stored engines apart, 3D-scanned the parts and test-fired them. The drawings didn't hold everything the people who built the engine had known.
Most companies are in the same position with far less paper. The current price is in one file and the old one in three others. The exception a partner agreed with a client is in an email. The reason a rule exists left with the person who made it. And now AI tools answer from whichever version they find, just as confidently either way.
kmap is the layer that holds what's true for your business. It's built from your documents and from what's in your people's heads, and kept current as they work, so everyone, and every AI tool, points the same way.
Who's building it
kmap is made by AstraVia Ltd, a UK software company. Its founder, Alex Richardson, is an aerospace engineer (MEng, University of Bristol) who built and ran Kompact9, a product company that sold more than 30,000 units worldwide. Running it meant living with this problem every day: the right price, spec or agreement scattered across documents and people's heads.
We're starting with a small number of firms, by invitation, and building kmap with them.
