kmap

How it works

One map of what's true, built from what you already have.

Folders copied the filing cabinet. kmap changes the structure, not the drive: your files stay where they are, and many ways in feed one map.

1

Connect your sources

An admin connects Microsoft 365 (SharePoint and OneDrive) or Google Drive once, then picks the sites, libraries or folders kmap should read. You don't have to hand over the whole drive. Uploads work too.

Each folder gets its own "who can see this": everyone, a department such as Finance, or a confidential group. Before the first import, kmap shows how long it will take.

Connecting needs your IT admin's consent in Microsoft or Google. That's how it should be: your IT stays in control of what kmap can reach.

2

kmap reads and maps

kmap pulls out the facts that matter (prices, terms, policies, who owns what) and links each one to the passage it came from, with its date.

It notices when facts disagree. A newer rate card against an old email. A draft proposal against the current price. A rule that only holds for one client. It settles what it can, writes down its reasons, and keeps proposals apart from what's current.

We keep the extracted text, not copies of your files. Every citation opens the original where it lives.

3

People fill the gaps

When kmap can't tell which version holds, it asks the person who owns that area, by email, in Slack or in their AI tool. One question, at the right moment, to the right person.

Their answer goes into the map with their name on it. It outranks the documents, and re-reading a file never overwrites it. That's how know-how that lives in people's heads gets kept.

4

Everyone asks, wherever they work

  • In kmapA conversation with follow-up questions. Every answer cites its sources.
  • In their AI toolClaude, ChatGPT and Copilot connect to kmap once. After that, each person's AI answers from your settled facts.
  • In SlackAsk with /kmap, answer questions with one tap, and correct an answer where you see it.
  • By emailQuestions arrive by email and are answered by replying.

Every answer only draws on what that person is allowed to see, in every channel.

5

It stays right

When a connected document changes, kmap re-reads the part that changed. When one is deleted, the facts that came only from it leave the map, with the reason recorded.

Anyone can say "that's wrong" from wherever they asked. A correction goes to the person who owns that area and, once settled, changes every later answer. History shows what changed, who or what changed it, and why, and any change can be undone.

See it on your own documents.
